Water Floods Pewaukee Home

This Pewaukee, WI home experienced some flooding in the basement due to a burst water heater.  They called SERVPRO of Southwest Waukesha County to do the mitigation.  In the first picture, the carpet was very saturated.  After extracting the water out of the carpet, the certified water restoration technicians at SERVPRO of Southwest Waukesha County lifted back the carpet and removed the saturated carpet pad exposing the wet concrete.  This allowed the technicians to properly position fans and dehumidifiers for proper air flow to dry out the structure.  This is an essential part of the water mitigation process to prevent secondary damage, which is often the growth of mold.
