SERVPRO SW Waukesha County Raises $4,000 in Support of National Fallen Firefighters Foundation “Giving back to our community is very important,” says Todd Szada, co-owner of SERVPRO SW Waukesha County. Along with his wife and business partner, Tina, SERVPRO raised $4,000 for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. They hosted their third annual bean bag tournament in March 2019 to help raise funds for this very worthy cause. The first two tournaments raised money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation to raise money for breast cancer research. This year they decided to raise funds for a cause where they see so much devastation in their daily business. “We get called to many fire losses and each fire is unique. However, the one common thing is the need for firefighters to put out that fire,” said Szada. “We understand that the first responders put their own safety at risk to help others and we also know that sometimes these first responders get hurt or lose their lives while trying to help others. We wanted to show our support and say thank-you to these families that experience tragedies for members of first responders.” The money raised was given to the National Organization and will be dispersed to families that lost a love-one who was a first responder.
